What’s the secret to finding the things you want?

Even if it seems like it, looking for things that seem impossible to find isn’t impossible at all! You just have to know where to search. Every thrift has hidden gems. Some people go right into it, looking for specific things or brands. This isn’t a good idea. You need to be open minded and while it’s okay to look for certain styles, don’t look for specifically one thing. You’ll only get disappointed since it won’t be easy to find one thing.

Make sure to look in EVERY section. That includes the kids section. Workers can misplace things and sometimes things won’t be in the right sections, so don’t only look in one place. It’s also helpful to go at the right time. You don’t want to be there when the most resellers are there, since they might be looking for the same things as you. So, go during restock days during the weekdays. Weekends always equal more people, pretty much everywhere you go.

Look at the materials a certain piece is made out of. Just because a top looks pretty doesn’t mean it won’t fall apart after a few washes. Checking tags will save you from buying things that you’ll regret later. Also, be sure you really want the thing you’re about to get. If you’re not going to wear it, it’s just completely going to waste instead of going to someone who actually wants it. Trying things on is also a big help. Really, all you need to remember is to get things you won’t regret.
