Today is the last day of the week-long exclusive one-time only, Solar Bear free mint. The Solar Bear has received a lot of attention and hype since it was first publicly announced in an AMA session some months back, and the community has taken this opportunity to get their hands on this cuddly teddy, which is actually a reward for existing Ren Empire Citizen NFT holders.

Die-hard Soulbond fans and supporters might know why this bear is so sought-after, but for those of you who are still new, let me give you 3 reasons why every Soulbond player needs to have one of these giant furballs in their wallets.

Reason #1: In-game defence boost

Ever heard of the saying, you might live to regret your decision? In the case of the Solar Bear, it’s more likely you’ll DIE and regret your decision not to get one.

The bear is Soulbond’s main player-character accessory for defence, and the development team has stressed repeatedly on how it will provide characters with a significant boost to a character’s defence. Although no specifics have been mentioned so far, having the bear on your side will definitely increase your character’s survivability, especially when you take on tough Bosses and challenges.

Reason #2: Rarity

The Solar Bear is a unique collection as the actual number of bears in existence is limited to the actual number that are minted, with the unminted bears being burnt.

With an initial maximum cap of 10,000 at the start of the mint, the Solar Bears are likely to number around 5,000 at most, if not less. This makes it the rarest NFT in Soulbond. When the game is launched, you can bet that most gamers will seek out every method to boost their character’s capabilities, and the Solar Bear will be at the top of their list.
