How I Use AI in My Day-to-Day Development Work

Over the past few years, there’s been a lot of discussion about AI replacing developer jobs. In my experience, AI isn’t here to take our jobs. it’s here to assist us, making development faster and better. In this post, I’ll share how I use AI tools in my daily workflow as a developer.

Content Writing

While I’m comfortable writing code, crafting professional content isn’t my strong suit. I use AI tools to enhance my email communication. Typically, I draft an email and then ask AI to polish it, making it clearer and more professional.

Summarization

As a developer, I often come across lengthy articles or posts. Instead of reading them in full, I use AI to summarize the content. If the summary seems important, I’ll read the entire post; otherwise, I move on to other tasks.

Co-Pilot

Coding is at the core of my work. For the past few months, I’ve been using Co-pilot, which has been incredibly helpful for vibe coding, auto-suggestions, technical documentation, and code optimization.

Search Engine

Previously, I relied on Google for searching. Now, with AI-powered results like Gemini, I get more accurate and relevant answers directly, saving time compared to the traditional link-by-link approach.

Image Generation

When I need to create flowcharts or architecture diagrams, I use AI image generators. They produce well-designed images quickly, eliminating the need to learn new design tools.

AI has become an essential part of my development workflow, helping me work smarter and more efficiently every day.
