“Give ear, O heavens, and I will speak; And hear, O earth, the words of my mouth. Let my teaching drop as the rain, My speech distill as the dew, As raindrops on the tender herb, And as showers on the grass. For I proclaim the name of the Lord: Ascribe greatness to our God.”
I know that many people will be turned off after seeing any words involving God.
But you see? it is a travesty to get inspiration for your creativity from someone and not credit them.
Who is the giver of life?
Who drew the mountains and the clouds?
Who gives orders to the sun and moon on when to rise and set?
Who asks the wind to blow or hold still?
Who created words, sounds?
Who made art?
I read those verses from the 32nd chapter of Deuteronomy, and this is my sincere prayer for you, dear medium reader/writer.
That your writing will give life to all who read it, that it may be helpful to those who need milk in their tender seasons or those who need meat in tough seasons.
Moses words were poetic. The King James Version titles the 32nd chapter of Deuteronomy as “Moses’ Song.”
I’ve said it before, and I will say it again: some of the greatest pieces of writing are in the Bible. You should try reading it sometime.
