I dream of seeing my Quebec free. A country unique, a country full of life, of love and of pride. We might not be perfect, but no country really is. There will be lots of thing to do if we become a country, but let’s start by becoming one first! Our population as a province is loving and proud! So, imagine what a beautiful population we’ll be as a country. Here, everyone is accepted, nobody is rejected. We have our own culture, but that doesn’t stop us from adding a pinch of difference. That’s what makes our Quebec, OUR Quebec. We are proud of who we are. We celebrate what comes from here and every june 24th, we remember. We remember all those times where independance slipped between our fingers. We think back to 1980, then 1995. We were so close, but it wasn’t the right time. We won’t become a country right now, but in the end, when we’ll see the referendum ahead of us, promise me, dear quebecers and all that’ll follow to vote for your culture, your language, your food, your identity! I might not be there to see it, but believe me if I am tears will flow down my face as they do each time I think about the beauty of our identity. It won’t be sad tears, but hope and hapiness ones. After all these years, we’ll get there. Quebec will be free and finally, the world will recognize the difference of which we are so proud. If there is one population that really loves its territory, it’s us, Quebecers. Proud of who we are, proud of who we will be. Our free Quebec, we’ll have it. We are different and proud to be. It’s time to celebrate more than Quebec as provice, it’s time to celebrate Quebec as a country ! Our heritage so unique shouldn’t be hidden by the shadow of a country as large as Canada. We aren’t white and red, we are blue and white and proud to be. Long live free Quebec !
