You Are Deathless

A touch of the spiritual

You may not subscribe to the following beliefs, and that’s okay. This is what I have come to, but you have just as much right to your own convictions as I have to mine. I offer the following to those who may be interested. I bear no ill-will towards those who are not.

In my understanding of Creation, you are the Life Force itself. You draw yourself into the avatar of your physical body, to keep it alive. The mechanism you use for this is the breath.

When the body is unable to breathe for longer than a few minutes, the life force is withdrawn and the body dies.

But you are just the same as you always were. You no longer have this particular body, but you have used and left so many bodies that you can’t even number them. Through it all you have remained the same — unborn and undying. The very stuff of Cosmic Consciousness.

While you are in a body, it seems very important — as though it were the only one you have ever had. This is the survival instinct. It is a necessary element of physicality. When the mortal brain hears about spirituality and immortality, it says “That’s all very nice, but I think I’d rather stay right here, if it’s all the same to you.” This is because the brain is made of the same physical cells as the rest of the body. It is subject to death, and it is afraid to die. It knows that it is only a tool of the Immortal Consciousness. It is the machine; it is not the operator.

YOU are the operator. You have no need to fear death, for you are deathless.

The wonderful machine — the brain — is subject to breakdowns and errors, just like the most sophisticated computers which can still be hacked and mis-programmed with viruses.

No such ills can affect you in Spirit. They only exist in the flesh. When the Alzheimer’s patient dies (body-wise), full consciousness is restored. It’s like coming Home.

In fact, it IS coming Home. And so much more is restored than you can even imagine here — all the information that you had to forget in order to have a body.

It doesn’t matter that the Life Force has left the body, because you are the Life Force itself.
