Finally . . .

Weeds & Wildflowers March Prompt

Finally, our unusually cold Florida winter has come to an end, or so I hope. Our first freezing temperatures were in November — highly unusual. Followed by deep freezes in December, January, and February. My garden looks as though a fire swept through it, leaving everything black and brown. We are just beginning to see flowers that typically appear in late January or early February. The flowers in the collage above are from previous springs.

The definition of finally from Merriam-Webster: after a prolonged time; at the end of a period of time
