BZE Status Update — Nov 20, 2025 (Introducing the V8 Upgrade)

We’re back with another major milestone for the BZE network. The long-awaited V8 Upgrade is officially happening — a powerful leap forward packed with essential improvements, new features, and a refreshed experience across the ecosystem.

While this upgrade arrives a bit later than originally planned, the delay comes with purpose: we chose to bundle more enhancements into one big release rather than spacing them out. That means more impact, fewer transitions, and a faster path to our long-term goals.

Key Features in This Release

Automated Market Makers (AMMs): BZE now supports Automated Market Makers — enabling anyone to create liquidity pools and swap tokens instantly. This sits alongside our existing order-book DEX, giving users the best of both worlds. Swap fees collected from AMM activity can be distributed among liquidity providers, the burner, and the community pool — depending on how each pool is configured. This gives pool creators greater control and supports both incentives and long-term sustainability.

Multi-Asset Transaction Fees: With this upgrade, users can now pay gas fees using tokens other than BZE. This makes BZE a more flexible and appealing platform for other token projects and everyday users alike.

Major Technical Leap: Cosmos SDK v0.50: This upgrade brings BZE straight to Cosmos SDK v0.50, skipping intermediate versions like 0.46 and 0.47. It brings improved performance and a more flexible codebase that allows us to build and iterate faster going forward.

What This Upgrade Unlocks

Beyond the features going live now, the V8 Upgrade lays the groundwork for future additions, including:

• Tokens with built-in governance features
• Minable tokens and dynamic supply mechanics
• Community pools for token-specific initiatives
• Tools for creators and builders to take their projects further on the BZE network

It’s not just about what’s changing today — it’s about what becomes possible next.

A Brand New App Experience: Introducing Three DApps

The V8 Upgrade also comes with a full UI overhaul, replacing the current single-app layout with a modular interface made of three dedicated DApps:

1. DEX App — for trading, liquidity, and staking
2. Burning & Raffles App — where users can view burn events, participate in community raffles, and support token burns (including from third-party tokens built on BZE)
3. Factory App — a launchpad for builders and communities to create tokens, launch staking, and in the future, even deploy their own blockchain. While the initial version will be simple, we plan to expand it over time into a powerful toolkit for token and community creation.

The transition to these new dApps will happen gradually in the days following the upgrade. The current DApp will remain fully functional until the full switch is complete.

🔥 The Burn Continues

As always, sustainability remains at the heart of BZE. Swap fees continue to contribute to regular burn events, reducing supply and strengthening the long-term value of the ecosystem. Burning raffles — where users can contribute to be part of the event and win a portion of the pot — will also remain a key part of the community experience.

And with the new dedicated dApp for burn events, we’re making it easier than ever to take part — not just for BZE holders, but for any token issued on our chain.

🚀 V8 Upgrade Activates on Nov 27

The V8 Upgrade will go live at block height 20237800, expected to be reached on November 27, 2025.

At the upgrade height, the network will briefly pause to complete necessary migrations — a process that should take no more than a minute. Once complete, BZE mainnet will resume operations with all the new features in place.

The V8 Upgrade is a big step for the BZE ecosystem — and just the beginning of what’s coming next.
