I have been doing some research into these two ‘twin’, potentially catastrophic problem issues.
Did you know, for example that the waste from SE England all goes to Wales, landfill sites?
It is as yet unclear in my somewhat cursory papers, that mixed plastic/ metals recycling goes there as well(?? Views & facts from readers would be more than welcome).
The Financial Times’ lead journalists are repeatedly warning since Sir Keir Starmer’s election that the cost of ‘global net zero’ will be stratospheric. It may run up to £$€¥trillions.
This will translate to £billions of costs in the 4 states that make up the United Kingdom. This is where and now is when, that the billions simply must be spent; the likes of BP and Shell/Royal Dutch have to step up to the plate along with many billionaires and oil barons across the globe — and that includes UAE and the Saudi Arabians and all those states that are adjacent to Texas et al in the United States of America.
I reiterate that all this is very important for our children and our children’s children etc.
Many scientists are in denial of global warming. Many others are not of course, including the author, producer, director & broadcaster David Attenborough.
