KNOW YOUR TARGET AUDIENCE

• Being a UI/UX designer you need to know who is your target audience.
• What are their Services? What are they looking for? What is their Goal?
• Identifying your audience early on in the design process helps you come up with better designs and give you a good starting point to work from.

• Speaking with them face to face or talk to them as much as you can. Asking them questions till then you are not clear about his goal. Show them examples similar to his services, Such as, “Can you please review this design? What is you thought?”
• Requirement Analysis & Brainstorming about the product you start to design. Be sure to research the product better to create a better product.

THINK LIKE A USER

• When you are planning to design a UI or UX for Website or Mobile Application you need to think like a user. Before you design any interface, you need to know how a user will interact with a particular website or mobile app when they gonna use it.

• People use any kind of product like websites and apps in two ways: whether direct Interaction (Such as pressing a button, drag and drop, recharge or swiping a card etc.) and indirect Interaction (Such as pointing something in the pc by clicking on the mouse, Typing on the feedback form, Using keyboard for commands and shortcuts etc ).
• You should know and research who your users are and what devices they use.
• Ensuring everything is easy to find and navigate for the users.
• After knowing users, you will be able to make more clear concept and decisions in your design- from how people use your interface to the kind of content you need to highlight within the interface to make it more engaging for them.

KEEP YOUR CONTENT CLEAN & ORGANISED

• Too much content can invoke stress, anxiety or boredom for your users. Users want to find things quickly and with ease, they don’t want to feel overwhelmed or overloaded by reading through pages and pages of text.
• Keep your content clean, organised, easy to read and concise. Having content in the right places will make visitors feel in control and will make them feel good afterwards.
• Make sure you keep content to a minimum. Summaries where you can use graphical elements, images and bullets points to help break up text.

SIMILARITY, HIERARCHY & SPACING

• A visual hierarchy should be built into the design. This directs the user to the key information and message, and makes the page easier to scan.

• Always maintain a good padding, line height or similar gap between the Sections and Paragraph.
• While designing Web UI or Mobile Apps for user similarity is a must! Such as a Box / Column can cover one title, one image, one paragraph and one button. Similarly the 2nd box, 3rd box will be the same!
• It’s important that your web interface has breathing room and that you space everything out. Reducing the amount of “visual noise” will make the points you want to keep even stronger.

TYPOGRAPHY, IMAGE SELECTION, COLOR & SIZE

• Users will read bigger things first. Such as Title, Subheads, then paragraphs or descriptions.

• Bright, contrasting colors stand out from duller colors.
• You should add a focal point in your design so that user can attract.
• Users will rarely read every word of your text. The first two paragraphs are the most important and should contain your hook. Start paragraphs, subheads, and bullet points with enticing keywords.
