10 Dumb Things Conservative Christian Men Say In My Comment Section

Conservative Christian men absolutely hate when people disagree with them. Even worse when that person is a woman, so here are ten dumb things they say constantly in my comment section because they have no idea how to actually debate someone after being coddled by the patriarchy and church their entire life.

1. Not all Christians are the same. (All of them say this and I’m supposed to take that as proof that they’re different from each other.)
2. How come you don’t ever criticize Muslims like this? (They say this because they hate Islam for being a brown-skinned version of their own religion and they’d prefer my criticisms be more racist.)
3. You have an anger problem. (This is code for the fact that I make them feel insecure when they read my writing and I make them feel intimidated.)
4. You’re going to hell. (Okay, but I need them to prove it exists first for me to care.)
5. I believe that men and women are equal, but different and that’s why women have to submit to their husbands. (Submission isn’t equality. This is not a complicated subject. Next, they’re going to say that slaves are equal to their masters.)
6. If you pray, God will reveal the truth to you. (They have no idea how to respond to anything I’m saying. They want me to feel pressured to join the religion anyway and do all the work of forcing myself to commit by desperately praying and searching for any reason to believe that I can find.)
7. No matter how much proof we give atheists, they refuse to believe. (To be fair, their religion is so shitty that I would also not want to have to defend it. It’s an impossible task because their god behaves so horribly in their Bible and they want to blame the exhaustion they feel from trying to defend it all the time on me even though they’re really frustrated by their own Bible.)
8. You just want to be evil/you’re a demon/you like to sin. (They’re angry that I’m not like the women in their church who are quiet and listen to everything they say. They’ve deluded themselves into believing that if they bully me, I’ll collapse and submit to them.)
9. You’re racist. (When they get super insecure by how racist they are and how unjustified it is, they start saying everyone else is racist because they hope it makes everyone else as insecure as they are. It doesn’t work.)
10. Why don’t you try actually reading the Bible? (I’ve read it through many times. I studied it in college. That’s why I know how indefensible it is.)
