Advancing 2030 SDG Goals For Leaving No One Behind

The UN Economic and Social Council’s (ECOSOC) 2025 Coordination Segment is scheduled to take place on 6–7 February 2025 in New York with the theme

“Advancing sustainable, inclusive, science- and evidence-based solutions for the 2030 Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals for leaving no one behind.”

Blame epidemic 2019, armed conflicts in different parts of the world, trade war and above all instability and geopolitics, the fact is, it is not even near the SDG goal 2030.

As an important organ of the the United Nations Organization, the UN Economic and Social Council’s (ECOSOC) 2025 Coordination Segment on 6–7 February is supposed to discuss -

• Policy guidance towards the goal of SDG 2030.

• Action oriented recommendations.

• Promote intergovernmental negotiations initiated earlier.

• Development of action oriented assessment and recommendation.

• Inter-linkage of subsidiary bodies.

In alignment with the UN Economic and Social Council’s (ECOSOC) the Coordination Segment,

unglobalcompact.org recommends three ways to meet the SDG goal-

• Organizations need to develop strategies to enact change.

• They need to be ambitious ( growth mindset)

• Organizations must integrate goals across the business.

While protectionism become one of the buzz words, UN Economic and Social Council’s (ECOSOC) Coordination Segment is dedicated in its efforts towards achieving the SDG 2030 goals.
