How Does a Compound Bow Work Differently from Other Archery Weapons?

A **compound bow** is a modern longbow, a weapon comprising an unusually long and narrow wooden or metallic section fitted with a natural or synthetic string. The bow shoots what is known as ‘compound arrows’ which are shorter and lighter than the traditional arrows used with bows of the past.
