Pet peeve: Why do historical financial statements and future financial forecasts look exactly the same?

We need a universally accepted, obvious visual distinction. In modern UI/dashboards, we use dashed lines or lighter colors for forecasts. But the moment data hits a PDF or an Excel report, that visual hygiene completely disappears into a sea of black-and-white tables. Why not standardise blue ink or a light blue background for future projections?

The same goes for PR articles. If a headline screams "Our company will launch 20 new apps next year," it shouldn't look identical to actual, historical achievements.

Clear visuals prevent misinterpretation. Let’s make data context and digital hygiene a standard, not an afterthought.
