Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s Working Visit to the UAE Strengthens Bilateral Ties

The President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, arrived in the United Arab Emirates on Monday for a working visit, marking a significant moment in the evolving relationship between the two nations.

Upon his arrival at the Presidential Airport in Abu Dhabi, President Tokayev was warmly welcomed by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, alongside other senior UAE officials.

Strengthening Bilateral Relations

At the heart of the visit was a meeting between President Tokayev and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, held at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi. The partnership is underscored by significant UAE investments in Kazakhstan, which currently exceed $4 billion, and ambitious plans to boost bilateral trade from $632 million in 2022 to $1 billion in the near future.

The discussions also touched on Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW), a globally recognized platform for advancing dialogue and collaboration on sustainability. Both leaders acknowledged the importance of collective action to address pressing environmental challenges.

President Tokayev praised ADSW for its critical role in raising global awareness about sustainability and reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s dedication to contributing to global efforts aimed at preserving the planet for future generations.
