Today, I’m stepping outside my usual post schedule to share some exciting news about an upcoming game: Star Trek Voyager: Across the Unknown, launching on the Switch 2 on February 18, 2026. The game was developed by a third party company called GameXcite and publisher Daedalic Entertainment. I’m genuinely thrilled about this release and eager to explore what it has to offer. To start, I’m a huge Star Trek fan, and the Star Trek Voyager series has always held a special place in my heart. I remember eagerly tuning in each week to see how the crew of the starship Voyager would navigate the challenges of the delta quadrant, all in pursuit of their goal — returning home to the alpha quadrant. With this new game, one of my favorite shows feels more vivid and immersive than ever. Soon, I’ll get the chance to step into the captain’s role and guide Voyager back home myself. Honestly, I dreamed of a game like this when I was thirteen, imagining how incredible it would be. Now, I finally get to find out.

I’m absolutely thrilled about this game! I first discovered it during the Nintendo Direct on February 5, 2026 — even though they didn’t reveal much, just seeing it featured got me super excited. Afterward, I instantly went on YouTube and checked out some trailers and gameplay and honestly, it looks incredible. Without spoiling too much, it’s clear that the game offers so much more than just battling and exploring new systems and worlds. There are unique internal tasks and mechanics that really make the experience stand out and elevate the gameplay to another level.

Even better, Nintendo confirmed that a demo for Star Trek Voyager game is launching on February 9, 2026, on the Switch 2 system! I’m set to download it from the Nintendo eshop the moment it goes live so I can dive in and get a head start before the full release later this month.
