why do you write?
I write because I always haven’t in a while and there’s a guilt that comes with that though I don’t know where it comes from.
why do you write?
I write because I always haven’t in a while and there’s a guilt that comes with that though I don’t know where it comes from.
Letting down a version of me that once saw myself in playwrights, pullitzers poems, perhaps.
I write so the dream doesn’t die, doesn’t become something I failed at, something I gave up on.
I write because it never ceases to amaze me how I always think to myself when i’m done: “where did that come from?”
Right now for instance.
Who is behind these speedy guilt-ridden fingers?
