I agree with him that maybe we should attempt to build large artificial self-sustaining space habitats. Maybe, technology should be developed such that such space stations could create the conditions required for life; it could generate air, water, etc., so that life can survive there for centuries, until we find a habitable planet, that is.

It is indeed a beautiful image, creating large, self-sustaining space habitats where human life can continue safely for centuries.

We should dream, right?
