I Believe I Was the Target of an Attempted Murder. My Reports Were Never Properly Investigated: A Story About a Modern Nazi Regime in Disguise.

There comes a point when a person begins to ask a simple question: what is supposed to happen when you repeatedly report incidents that make you fear for your life, provide evidence to the police, and yet nothing meaningful is done?

For me, that question has become my reality.

I have repeatedly changed where I live because I no longer feel safe in my own home. This was not the result of one isolated incident, but of a recurring pattern of late-night intimidation that, in my view, escalated over time. I believe I was the target of an attempted murder and that the warning signs leading up to it were ignored.

I reported these incidents to the Lithuanian police on numerous occasions. I submitted video recordings documenting several of them. No comprehensive investigation was opened to determine who was responsible, why these incidents repeatedly occurred, or whether criminal offences had been committed.

The first major incident occurred on 15 September 2025 at 23:43.

Three individuals — one woman and two men — arrived at the stairwell of my apartment building. They created unnecessary noise inside the building before remaining outside the private residential property without any apparent legitimate reason. Their behaviour appeared deliberately provocative. To the best of my knowledge, none of them lived at the property, had declared it as their residence, or had been invited there by me.

Two weeks later, on 30 September 2025 at 00:25, another disturbing incident began.

An unidentified man repeatedly walked around the entrance to my apartment building carrying a flashlight. He created noise, repeatedly waved and shone the flashlight toward my window, and remained outside until approximately 02:16 — almost two hours.

I had never seen him before. To the best of my knowledge, he was not a resident of the building and had no legitimate reason to remain there during the middle of the night. I experienced his conduct as threatening and intimidating.

The incident that convinced me my life was in danger occurred on 6 October 2025 at approximately 02:00.

A Lithuanian military vehicle arrived outside the residential property during the early hours of the morning. Two armed men exited the vehicle and entered the private area beneath my windows. They attempted to move my electric bicycle, creating noise that drew my attention, before positioning themselves among nearby trees and waited for me to come out.

From my perspective, it appeared they were attempting to lure me outside into the darkness.

I believed my life was at risk.

I did not regard this as a misunderstanding or an ordinary neighbourhood disturbance. I believed it was a serious and potentially life-threatening incident.

Following these events, I repeatedly contacted the Lithuanian police.

Instead of receiving reassurance that these incidents would be investigated, I felt my concerns were dismissed. Despite providing reports and video recordings, I am not aware of any thorough investigation into the people involved, the vehicles, or the sequence of events that I documented.

Over time, another pattern deeply concerned me.

After filing police reports, I repeatedly observed what I perceived to be an increase in hostility from some neighbours. Individuals who had previously shown little interest in me became noticeably more confrontational and, on several occasions, directed abusive or offensive language towards me.

Because this appeared to occur shortly after I contacted the police, I became concerned that information relating to my complaints may have been disclosed without my knowledge. I cannot confirm that this occurred, but the timing caused me to lose confidence that my reports were being handled confidentially.

At the same time, I increasingly felt that I was being monitored.

The responses I received from the authorities left me with the impression that officials appeared to know information about me that I had never provided during my complaints. Combined with the repeated incidents around my home, this led me to believe I may have been subjected to unlawful surveillance.

If that belief is correct, it would represent an extraordinary abuse of state power.

Surveillance technologies exist for legitimate purposes such as preventing serious crime and protecting national security. They are not intended to intimidate civilians, interfere with their private lives, or expose them to danger. Democratic societies require strict legal safeguards, judicial oversight, transparency, and accountability whenever such powers are exercised.

If any public authority were found to have unlawfully used surveillance technology against a civilian or failed to prevent such misuse, that would raise profound legal and human rights concerns. Such allegations should be investigated independently, impartially, and transparently. Where violations are established, those responsible should be held accountable under domestic and international law.

The rights to life, privacy, personal security, and an effective remedy are fundamental principles recognised under European human rights law. Those rights have little meaning if credible complaints supported by evidence receive no meaningful investigation.

I was not asking anyone to accept my conclusions without question.

I was asking that the evidence would be examined.

I was asking that my video recordings, police reports, and the documented chronology of events be reviewed by an independent body capable of establishing the facts.

What about the communication records?

If my concerns are unfounded, an impartial investigation should demonstrate that.

If they are well founded, those responsible should be identified and held accountable.

No democratic society should expect its citizens to repeatedly abandon their homes because they fear for their safety.

No civilian should have to wonder whether surveillance powers intended to protect the public have instead been turned against them.

No report of conduct that a person genuinely believes placed their life at risk should be dismissed without careful examination.

I filed a complaint against the police, the police watchdog dropped the investigation as they did not “percieve” it to have merit.

The timing and circumstances of these events have clear patterns: late-night, location-specific disturbances involving unknown individuals, including prolonged loitering, flashlight use directed at my windows, escalation into more intrusive proximity and interaction with personal property, and at least one incident involving armed individuals and a military vehicle, all of which — while lacking confirmed identity, coordination, or intent.

Armed military has no logical reason to come at such time to a rural residential family building, middle of the night, interact only with personal property that belongs to me, cause noise, loiter outside, and try to provoke me.

I also believe there may be underlying motives behind these events, including my belonging to several minority groups, my public criticism of governments, and my past work exposing what I consider to be high-level corruption. I raise these factors as part of the broader context so it does not get shoved under the carpet.

What is even more upsetting that there are people who know exactly what is happening but they remain silent.
