My Beautiful $7 Pendant

I love that scarf too. Rowan’s mother-in-law gave it to me when I visited the Philippines for Rowan and Maria’s wedding. I wore it tonight with that same dress!

But it’s the $7 pendant that I’ve worn on every trip since 2011. The best $7 worth ever. Michelle bought it for me as a going away present when I was leaving for my 4 and a half month trip to Europe with my sister, niece and daughters. It’s my good luck charm. I’ve never been pickpocketed or robbed and I’m the most unobservant of travellers. Maybe would-be thieves know it’s a cheap trinket :-)

It’s starting to get a bit chilly at night so I thought I’d finally cave and put a doona on my bed. I have two king size doonas, a wool one and a feather one, a double wool one and a double stuffed one that belongs to Keeley. I distinctly remember stuffing them into something, but we cannot find any of them. Surely they weren’t donated? I also can’t locate a beautiful red scarf that was given to me by Gail and Fiona many years ago. I love it too as it goes with so many of my clothes.

There’s something about this house. A black hole that voraciously consumes items that I love. But four doonas? I only want one.
