It’s acceptable for you to make the first unconventional decision in your family.

s I grew up, my parents always told me not to. And rain is for the weak, love means I can learn lessons from pain and intense healing.

It was as if I were a character in a book, controlled by the author, a child without agency. I was like a caged bird, my voice lost in their expectations. They told me not to dream too big

to never follow the same path and question their rules. If I showed any sign of individuality, I was called a rebel.

Every decision felt like it wasn’t mine, every step I took felt like I was walking down a road that was all open to them, not the way I wanted to live

As a child, I was always conditioned to follow and control them because they insisted they knew best. I was just a kid with no experience, and they had to grow up and get wiser.

I am constantly reminded that I am too young to understand the world, and that my opinion doesn’t matter yet.

Every time I wanted to try or prove myself in something new, I would be pulled back and told I wasn’t ready or couldn’t do it. Their stories made me question my own ideas and dreams.

Trusting that I was just listening and obeying, I learned to calm my passions and follow their rules.?
