I Stopped Chasing Grades. Here’s What Happened Next.

When I joined college, I thought success would depend on grades.

I was wrong.

The students who seemed to grow the fastest weren’t always the toppers. They were the ones working on projects, joining competitions, attending workshops, and exploring skills that weren’t even part of their exams.

That’s when I realized something important: a curriculum isn’t just a list of subjects. It’s the opportunities hidden between those subjects.

The best learning happens when classrooms connect with the real world. One day you’re studying a concept, and the next you’re applying it to a project, a hackathon, or an industry challenge.

This is something I’ve noticed at LPU as well. The focus isn’t only on completing coursework but also on encouraging students to explore emerging technologies, collaborate across disciplines, and learn through hands-on experiences.

A degree may get your foot in the door.

But the experiences you gain while earning it are what make people remember your name.

And honestly, that’s the difference many students discover a little too late.
