Chula and the Embassy of India in Thailand Organize the 12th International Day of Yoga

Chulalongkorn University, through the Indian Studies Center of the Institute of Asian Studies, in collaboration with the Embassy of India in Thailand and the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, invites interested participants to join the 12th International Day of Yoga on Sunday, June 21, 2026, from 6:00–7:30 a.m. at the plaza in front of the royal statues of King Chulalongkorn and King Vajiravudh at Chulalongkorn University.

The International Day of Yoga event is organized to promote holistic health and well-being through the practice of yoga, which helps improve physical strength, flexibility, relaxation, and mental balance. The event offers members of the Chulalongkorn community and the general public an opportunity to experience the power of yoga in the early morning amid the peaceful and beautiful surroundings of the university campus.

Participants will take part in yoga exercises designed to enhance wellness and learn ways to balance body and mind through movement, breathing, and mindfulness — the core principles of yoga practice. These techniques can be applied in daily life to promote better health, inner peace, and improved quality of life. Participants will also receive a commemorative T-shirt and drinking water at the event. Yoga mats will be provided by the organizers.
