A lot of things keep pushing me “to the right.” Mostly this constant pressure to use “correct language.” I’ve always preferred keeping things simple and clear — that’s just how I am. In everyday life, too. Should I be judged for that?
To me, clear language is more efficient. I once worked in a social institution where people often talked in circles. Many people seem to get a thrill out of fancy words. That has never been my style.
Even though I understand the “advantages of elevated language,” it’s exhausting. And I’m not particularly masochistic.
Sometimes this circular talking feels like “packet loss” in computer science — it doesn’t help anyone.
And I don’t want to become a “foam-beater,” someone who produces lots of words but little substance.
So I see the political development in Germany rather neutrally. I reject extremes — left and right alike.
Still, the “right” sometimes feels like a look into the past. My brain works that way. It’s a kind of stability anchor.
And some new scientific ideas I also reject — because of personal experiences with my illness. But in the end, I still rely on science, because of my daughter’s illness, and because of my own issues.
Lost “between left and right,” I fall more and more into a kind of “Buddha mode.” Simply because I just want peace.
With some people, that’s already difficult.
But I’ve always believed that “the truly sick ones are out there,” based on ten years of therapy.
In the end, I don’t know what I’ll vote for in the next elections. Nothing speaks to me 100%.
I still think the world needs more calm. But the tiny party Menschliche Welt can only be voted for in the European elections.
My personal dilemma.
Maybe my final decision will be a “gut feeling.” Who knows.
My head is overloaded with all the “data on the internet.” I can’t differentiate cleanly anymore. Everyone bends the truth somehow — plus the propaganda. What are we supposed to believe?
Confusing times.
But I keep my “personal courage.” That has always been important to me. Like the “laughing Buddha.” Otherwise life would be even harder to bear.
