For the good times we had together Its so easy to write about loss And hard to feel empowered Like spending money vs earning money Easy to spend, hard to make I spend my whole life building the relationship And in a heartbeat its gone. He was a sick man for a long time, Thats true. Im only now remembering the whole picture. Rather than dealing with who he was at the end Im remembering who he was in the past The adventures we shared The risks we took together Trying to one up each other Because we admired each other And respected each other.

No one could match his wit. I know Proust would throw a tantrum because he didnt understand what wit was But Eric had wit. He was quick with it. Savage, at times. Which i just realized he shared with Chandler. Its no wonder they dated. But he was funny. He could paint pictures with words that were hilarious. When pushed he could charm. Fashion-forward, he'd say. When people questioned what he was wearing. He recognized ironies and inconsistencies in people. And could point out their blind spots In a way that is funny.

Rest in peace bee man In the end, he was like a bee His words could sting But he was sweet like honey
