Homestands Vs. Worcester Red Sox and Lehigh Valley Ironpigs

These first two homestands in May have been a bit more productive than April, for many reasons.

April in Rochester, New York is always some of the worst weather we have, though that weather only seems to show up during game weeks. When the team is away, it’s always sunny or cloudy and in the 60s, but when we’re home, every day there is a chance of a rain delay, and nobody wants to play in that, trust me. This is why when May comes around, it always gives me a bit of hope that better baseball weather is on its way.

The Wings tied the series with the WooSox 3–3.

I’ve been trying to get new shots that I’ve never got while also trying to cover the game itself, but I’m thinking for the next homestand that I’ll try to do something different, with Memorial Day coming up, hotter weather and hopefully some butts in seats.

I’ve been trying to slow down during games while getting all shots I need to for our social team. Shooting warmups, winning high-fives, and everything in between. This time shooting helps me loosen myself up and get mentally prepared for the game. The Sunday day games are always good for those warmup photos, the light hits the players perfectly.

Very harsh lighting, especially with no clouds in the sky, I love it.

For the games against the Ironpigs, the Wings celebrated the annual Rochester Lilac Festival by wearing the specialty ROC the Lilac jerseys all week.
