Why Hijab Should Not Be Banned Anywhere

Hijab, I presume, you all know, is the fundamental part of the religion of Islam for women and has remain the subject of discussion for every person for decades.

I don’t know that what you all think about Hijab but I don’t think you should have offer any issues regarding it. If someone is wearing it, let her.

As a Muslim, I respect all the religions as revealed in our Quran, in Chapter 109, Surah Kaafiroon, verse no.14:

“For you is your religion and for me is my religion.’’

But there always remains a same question in my mind about hijab. Why, if Hindu women can wear their sa’arhee, the Christian women can wear their shirts, why can’t a Muslim women wear her hijab?

Why do people want the Muslim women to roam in the streets, while exposing their beauties to the stranger men when they don’t want to?

The same people tend to make hijab a source of violation by wearing it during robberies or other illegal acts which is unacceptable.

I am not persisting you to wear it at any cost as well, but I am interrogating the ones who have problems with the ones who do wear it.

Hijab does not enslaves a women, instead it gives her freedom and the authority to choose herself that by whom she wants herself to be seen and whom not.

What does hijab stops a women from? No, nothing. She is allowed to go out, earn money and even has the right to keep every single cent she earns to herself. Everything. You name it and its there.

For those who does not appreciate it, this is not a pressure. or enforcement. Noone is saying anything; it’s their personal matter with God but then who gave you the permission to stop and barricade others?

I again repeat, that if the women belonging to other religions may wear anything they want, Muslim women has the whole right to do too.

In Islam, woman is actually treated like a gem. She is provided with all types of precautions, so that no one may see her with evil eyes, so that no one may touch her with evil intention, just like we protect our wealth from a theif.

She is given respect, protection and dignity.

Yes! the hijab is not a restriction instead it allows a woman to be judged by the content. Not by her packaging, by what’s written on the pages. Not the pretty artwork on the cover. To be judged by what she has to say, not by how she has to look while saying it. Islam does not see her as a prized thing to be paraded before the world.

I do not need to argue against what Christians, Hindus and Jews think. They have their beliefs and I have mine and we all don’t need to interfere or speak ill about others.

Moreover, some people raise brows over why everything is for women?

Why does Islam tells only a woman needs to hide and keep her gaze down?Then that is not true.

In the Quran, in Chapter 24, Surah Noor, verse 30, it is revealed:

“Say to the believing men that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that will make for greater purity for them. And Allah is well acquainted with all that they do. And O Prophet! Enjoin the believing men to restrain their gaze and guard their private parts.’’

I don’t know how many of you will agree with me or not. You all may have different opinions but a right is a right, and it should be given to each living person on the earth.
