What Does Bloom Glacier Crush Actually Taste Like?

I’ve been seeing these Bloom Glacier Crush cans everywhere the last couple months. Target, gas stations, even some random convenience stores. The name is unusual enough that I finally paid attention.

Bloom keeps the description pretty open on the can. They call it a “refreshing rush of frosted fruit flavor” or a “blast of crisp, refreshing flavor.” That’s basically it. No single fruit is called out. They do list lychee extract in the ingredients, though most people say the lychee itself stays pretty subtle.

So what does it actually taste like?

Most people who’ve tried it land on the same description: it tastes a lot like a blue raspberry ice pop. The kind you used to get as a kid. Some compare it to Gatorade Glacier Freeze, which tracks once you try it. There’s this cold, slightly sweet blue raspberry thing going on, with a little citrus underneath and sometimes a soft cherry note. It’s light and kind of icy-feeling even though it’s just a regular sparkling drink.

For me it lands closest to those old blue Freezie pops that used to get that weird crystalline texture when they sat in the freezer too long. That specific icy-sweet edge is what I keep coming back to. I had my wife try it too and she said the same thing: basically a clean blue raspberry ice pop.

The liquid itself is pale yellow, which is a little unexpected. You look at the can and half expect it to be blue. Doesn’t change how it tastes though.

It’s zero sugar and only 10 calories, with 180 mg of caffeine from green coffee beans. No heavy artificial aftertaste. That’s probably why the flavor comes through clean and why I’ve been picking them up more often than I expected.

If you’re looking for it, it’s pretty easy to find right now. I’ve seen it at Target and Walmart, and it’s showing up in a lot of gas stations and convenience stores too. You can also check the official site if you want to see the other flavors they have:

Bottom line: If you like those old-school blue ice pops or Glacier Freeze, this is basically that idea turned into a zero-sugar energy drink. Clean, cold, and pretty easy to drink.

Curious what other people think. If you’ve tried it, does it taste like blue raspberry to you too or am I off?
