The number of players triples that of its predecessor, Resident Evil: Village
Resident Evil: Requiem has reached an all-time concurrent peak of 334,214 players during its weekend debut, which is marks the biggest in the franchise’s history. According to SteamDB, the peak was recorded on February 28th, Saturday, one day after its launch.

Looking at the previous iterations of the game, this makes it more than double that of Resident Evil 4 Remake, and triple that of Requiem’s predecessor, Resident Evil Village.
The figure only reflects Steam users, as the game was also launched on several other platforms, including Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
Requiem is currently sitting on a positive 94% on Steam, with players praising an overall nostalgic return to the franchise’s roots.
