I have been doing Silver Futures for the last two years. I trade with my strategies to make a profit.

Like any trader, I lost money in the beginning. I consider it a learning fee.

I remember my mother’s words: “Without losing a net, nobody can become a good fisherman…” The same rule applies here.

Nobody learns to walk without falling.

However, in the share market, we can minimize the damage if we learn the basics properly.

Every time I open the trading app, a mandatory regulatory warning pops up: “As per regulatory studies, 95% of people make a loss in trading…”

Why do most people fail in trading? In trading, the chance of winning or losing is 50:50.

Then why do 95% of people make a loss? The main reason is a mindset problem. Nobody can win in trading without mind control.

Fear, greed, panic, anger, revenge — these are the main emotions that rule the human mind while trading. I wrote a book on trading psychology that explains in detail the role of each emotion.

People hold on to losses, hoping for a market reversal. In reality, hope has no role in trading. The trader ends up with heavy losses.

When the profit starts, the trader exits early due to the fear of loss.

In short: Traders run after losses and cut short their profits. So, they fail to take advantage of the 50:50 chance.

The 5% of people who gain massive profits from trading know trading psychology. They study the market trends well.

Trading is simple: Enter at the right time and exit at the right time. But the real challenge is identifying the right time.

Does an experienced trader sharply identify the correct time? No. The market is always elusive. Nobody can fully understand its dynamics.

One famous trader with 10 years of experience admitted openly:

“Every day, the market is different. Nobody can predict market movements correctly. It is not in our control. We can only manage the risk and protect the capital. If anybody manages the risk properly, the profit will come automatically.”

I always use a floating strategy to manage risk and maximize profit.

What is a floating strategy?

It is simple: Buy and sell at the same time in silver futures. Suppose there are two silver future contracts — February and April.

  • I buy the February contract.
  • I sell the April silver contract.

If the market moves upward, I exit the February contract with a profit. If the market goes down, I exit the April silver futures with a profit. So, the first trade always ends with a profit.

I closely observe the market movement. I always keep buying and selling trading positions. There is no need to panic about market fluctuations because the risk is managed by maintaining both buy and sell positions.

Silver prices are influenced by the global market and geopolitical situations. So, keep an eye on those before taking trading positions.

As per market trends, I add more quantities to maximize profits.

It is like floating a yacht on the water. When the trading is favorable, flow with the direction and gain from it.

Takeaways:

  1. Trading psychology is crucial: Control your emotions (fear, greed, panic, anger, and revenge).
  2. Hope has no role in trading — cut your losses and let your profits run.
  3. Manage risk effectively, and profits will follow.
  4. Use a floating strategy to balance risk and reward.
  5. Observe market movements and global trends to make better trading decisions.

Trading is not about predicting the market — it is about managing risk and maximizing opportunities. Want to learn more?: Get a copy of the new book: Silver Futures Floating Strategy.
