Screen printing using a printer — by over processing normal every day processes — the outcome, if creatively driven is infinitely reconfigurable

repeat the same process colours as you have — run more tha one printer and optimise the colours using available cartridges — use compatible printers if possible — make use of large scale mtethods and processes brought down to a small scale process

In other words create a feedback loop of digital and analogue processes

In others words — print big if you can — possibly in strips — turning a normal printer into a roller printer — or just using a roller printer — either way — specially working at a4 — this gives the option to overlay

Its hard not to mention how easy it would be or have been to just move on with what one was thinking about. These two people found their way into my sphere algorymically or whatever it is, but both men are openly showing their process and their achievement of a working model

Getting to working model phase is much more useful sometimes, even just so you can then work on phase two and build momentum from there until you have something of a final design, a look…a maquette

Please excuse my lack of care and attention around prose and form. It is somewhat intentional but also borne from a litanity of bad habits. Making money doesn’t get any easier, it has the feeling of attending the first day of school over and over again — which at first glance is daunting and overwhelming — but later on, after a few classes, a few lessons and some new friends, it is actually rather pleasant — it is then only when the new year comes that it is all done again, occasionaly punctuated by a test or ten

School being the place where we are trained rather than taught, we finaly come to boredom — boredom invites complacency — and if no care is taken we are merely attending a club for people who get jobs and race to the finish line — a finish line eerily similar to the lines set by the end of year tests we dreaded — bowing to conformity whilst smoking behing the bike sheds

It was whilst washing down a hurried borrowed roll-up outside a callcentre in my waistcoat and pinstriped trousers that the deja vu really kicked in about ten years ago. The same Deja vu popped up when trying to talk about things I am interested in with people I was ‘working’ with…it felt like this

Life shouldn’t be one big getaway with a heros death at the end. It needn’t be a Greek trajedy — but shouldn’t and needn’t come from the place of “ I don’t want to go to school today”

Sometimes it’s ‘School’ that teaches you its not only okay to learn, it IS what you are here to do. Sometimes you have to get up, get ready and go somewhere where you have to follow rules that might not make sense at first but later will become clear

Every new job is your first day, every task is a class. you lern from peers and mentors and teachers, and sometimes you have to stand at the front of the class and present your work. Before you know it you will be seniors and onto another school, college, university or stepping stone to another stage of learning and development.

This said, a lot of learning is unlearning. And a lot of lessons are hard, especially at first. but witha warriors mentality, thats just normal — and a great reason to be at peace with yourself if not immediately happy.
