Neil De Grasse Tyson ranks UAE at the top of countries that strive to create a better future
Astrophysicist and popular science promoter Neil DeGrasse Tyson was among the notable speakers at the World Government Summit, 2016. The much revered scientist met with Minister of Cabinet Affairs and the Future, Minister Mohammad Al Gergawi. He stressed upon prioritising and striving for a better future as an individual and a country.
Tyson revealed his thoughts at the World Government Summit about science and exploration which he believes were pivotal during the golden ages of the Arab and Islamic regions. He also stated that the UAE is reinventing the golden age once again through innovative and impactful ventures.
In recent times, the United Arab Emirates has planned initiatives that had a profound impact on the region. The versatility of the initiatives has been impressive ranging from space to 3D printing. It launched its own mars mission, aptly titled ‘Hope,’ and became the first country to launch a fully working 3D printed building.
Mohammad Al Gergawi was present along with Professor Jim Al Khalili and Saeed Al Gergawi during the meet up with Neil DeGrasse Tyson.
