How ‘bout you & I, me & you, bailamos bachata? Concerts and friends in Vegas.
Hola chismosas,
How ‘bout you & I, me & you, bailamos bachata? Concerts and friends in Vegas.

Hola chismosas,
“Que Nastyyyyyyy,” as Romeo Santos says.
This past weekend, I went to Las Vegas with a close friend from college and her two nieces. We went to see Prince Royce and Romeo Santos in concert. It was my first time at the T-Mobile Arena, and honestly, it’s super nice. The seats were so comfy too!
It was really fun getting to see Prince Royce and Romeo Santos live. I love their music, especially bachata. It reminds me so much of my early college days when I first moved to Utah. That was the time when I really got into dancing and listening to bachata and reggaeton music. Honestly, it helped me through a lot during that period of my life. The stress of being a student, being far from home, heartbreak, grief, and later learning how to become an adult on my own in Utah while all of my family lived in a different state.
Through college, roommates, church and going out dancing, I made a lot of friends and stayed connected with many of them throughout the years. Friends like my friend Martha, who I went to the concert with, and many others I’ve met in Utah. Truly make me grateful for all the memories and experiences we’ve shared together. To me, the friends I see and talk to often really do feel like family. I’m also grateful for many of their families, who have always made me feel included and loved.
Before going to Las Vegas, my husband and I visited a cat café on Sunday called Miao Miao Cafe. They had a really good special where you could get a drink, dessert, and 20 minutes with the cats for about $30 with tax. I got a corn latte, my husband got a rosehip tea, and for dessert we shared a taro cheesecake shaped like a sleeping bear. It was honestly so cute and great for Date or girls nights.
We really enjoyed spending time with the cats, even though most of them were asleep the entire time. I would totally go back again. One of the cats reminded me of my cat nephew Soxs and it made me miss him because he’s so cute lol.
The cafe is located right next to Sushi Burrito, and that place is amazing too. The food there is really good. Last time I went, I had the vegetable tempura and it was delicious. Next time, I really want to try their citrus roll.
TBH, these last two weekends have been really busy with traveling. But I’m grateful to have the opportunity to do so, even if they’re just small trips close to home. It’s always nice making new memories with the people you love and care about. Especially the people who love you back and include you in their lives too.
I’m excited to experience many more new things this weekend as well. Also, thank you to everyone who has served our country. I hope you all have a great Memorial Day weekend.
