Advancing Global Stability: The Youth Peace and Security Agenda

In a world where conflict and uncertainty persist, the vital role of youth in fostering peace and security cannot be overstated. Recognizing their potential as agents of change, the United Nations Security Council adopted Resolution 2250 in 2015, marking a significant milestone in acknowledging the importance of the Youth, Peace, and Security (YPS) agenda.

The YPS agenda aims to amplify the voices of young people in conflict prevention, resolution, and peacebuilding efforts. This agenda rests upon five pillars: participation, protection, prevention, partnership, and disengagement and reintegration.
