GUN Unlock Adds Late Week Altcoin Volatility Risk

This week’s token unlock schedule highlights several altcoin supply events that may influence short-term market behavior from May 25 to May 31. Seven tokens are listed: H, XPL, HUMA, SIGN, KMNO, GUN, and OP. The largest unlock by value is H, with $23.21 million entering circulation on May 25 at a token price of $0.220. XPL also unlocks on May 25, releasing $7.39 million at $0.083. While these two events may attract attention due to their dollar size, traders should also compare each unlock against circulating supply to better estimate potential dilution pressure and market absorption risk.

HUMA is the most important supply-risk event on the calendar. On May 26, it unlocks $11.69 million worth of tokens at $0.025, representing 20.04% of circulating supply. This is the highest unlock ratio of the week and may create meaningful short-term volatility if newly released tokens are sold into the market. High-percentage unlocks often influence price action before the actual release, as traders reduce exposure ahead of expected dilution. For HUMA, the key signal will be whether selling pressure accelerates before May 26 or whether buyers step in once the new supply becomes tradable.

GUN also deserves close attention despite its smaller unlock value. On May 31, GUN unlocks $4.14 million at $0.012, equal to 14.53% of circulating supply. This makes it the second-highest dilution event in the infographic after HUMA. By comparison, H unlocks 3.86%, XPL unlocks 3.69%, SIGN unlocks 4.77%, KMNO unlocks 3.16%, and OP unlocks only 1.50% of circulating supply. These lower ratios suggest more moderate dilution risk, although token-specific liquidity conditions may still determine whether unlocks are absorbed smoothly or translate into short-term sell pressure.

The midweek schedule also includes SIGN on May 28 and KMNO on May 30. SIGN unlocks $1.43 million, equal to 4.77% of circulating supply, while KMNO unlocks $4.59 million, equal to 3.16%. These events are smaller than HUMA and GUN, but they may still trigger localized volatility if market depth is weak. OP appears to have the lowest supply pressure among the listed events, with a $3.97 million unlock representing only 1.50% of circulating supply. This lower ratio may make OP less vulnerable to unlock-driven selling compared with higher-percentage tokens.

Overall, the week’s unlock calendar shows that percentage of circulating supply is more important than headline unlock value when assessing dilution risk. H has the largest nominal unlock, but HUMA and GUN present the clearest market risks because their supply increases exceed 20% and 14%, respectively. Traders may watch for pre-unlock weakness, rising sell volume, and post-unlock stabilization as key signals. If prices recover after supply enters circulation, it may indicate that the market has absorbed the unlock and that short-term rebound opportunities are forming.
