ALLATRA Climate Crisis Event: A Global Call for Concrete Actions on Climate Change

May 20, 2024, could be remembered as a milestone in the fight against the global climate crisis. On that date, the Lucerna Palace in Prague hosted the highly anticipated “ALLATRA Climate Crisis Event,” an international conference organized by the ALLATRA International Public Movement.

The event brought together a wide range of experts, academics, media representatives, and civil society members from 35 countries, united by the urgency of addressing the threats posed by climate change and the rapidly increasing natural disasters.

One of the highlights was the speech by Dr. Egon Cholakian, a respected U.S. national security specialist. Cholakian praised ALLATRA’s efforts in promoting public awareness and safeguarding human rights and fundamental freedoms, which are threatened by climate change. He announced his commitment to represent the movement at the highest level in the USA, coordinating with the Senate, Congress, and the State Department.

Dr. Egon Cholakian is a prominent national security expert and federal lobbyist in the United States. With a decades-long career serving the U.S. government, he has held high-level positions in intelligence, diplomacy, and foreign policy. Dr. Cholakian is known for his stances on safeguarding human rights and fundamental democratic freedoms, as well as his commitment to promoting international cooperation on issues of global importance, such as climate change. His authoritative and globally respected voice makes him an influential ally for causes championed by the ALLATRA Movement.

Presentations by Marina Ovtsynova, Olga Schmidt, Dr. John Ahn, and Taliy Shkurupiy of ALLATRA and the “Creative Society” project highlighted the exponential increase in natural disasters predicted years ago, confirming the urgency of concrete actions. Scientific films were shown, illustrating alarming future climate scenarios, but also innovative solutions such as technology to produce drinking water from the atmosphere.

The event underscored ALLATRA’s alignment with the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, reiterating the importance of a coordinated global response to tackle this epochal crisis.
