AI and Reality Checks

What I learned from my psychological experience through self-illness was the reality checks.

Plagued by demons.

You must do the “reality check”.

Is there really a demon in my closet? You must face the horror and “look”.

Useful, you “see the facts”.

I started with “reality checks” around the time of my burnout.

To calm down.

Looking at the wall and telling myself: “The wall is white”, that shut down my system.

Now to the problem with AI:

It spreads a lot of false truths. For the simple reason that she can’t do “reality checks”.

How is AI supposed to know if something is true or false?

She is only fed up with the information she has received, and it can be wrong.

Like the countless false information on the Internet.

I noticed this more than once.

If I now say: “The sun is shining outside”, a person can check that. He just goes outside.

AI is tied to its information, and it can be wrong.

A “robot” could check this, depending on how it has been programmed.

Would then say, “I need to check your input,” and then go outside and “check” the weather.

With its own sensor technology.

One concludes that „artificial intelligence” is only as good as the person who programmed it?

In the end, AI is just a probability generator. And already now the AIs differ in their opinions and consume a lot of electricity.

Perhaps the AI should distinguish between “fact” and “opinion”.

Fact: The wall is white, opinion: How does the weather feel right now?

I can’t think of anything better.

I can only point out repeatedly not to take AI at face value.
