Maybe this is how the new world looks like

While waiting for my mom to finish her massage, I found myself drifting into thought — thinking about my journey with **MRF Pakse**, the volunteering group I’ve been part of for more than three years.

What have I really done with MRF? What have we actually accomplished?

As I sat with that question, answers came flooding in:

1. Social Inequality

We’ve been to remote villages where schools lack the most basic needs — no fans, no clean drinking water, crumbling classrooms, and barely enough books. It’s a clear reflection of the gap that still exists in our society.

2. Hope

Despite the lack of facilities, one thing always stands strong — hope. The children, their teachers, guardians, and neighbors still believe in the power of education. That belief keeps everything going, even when resources fall short.

3. Social Distribution

MRF couldn’t do any of this alone. Everything we’ve done has been possible because of generous hearts — friends, colleagues, temples, mentors, and even strangers. Their kindness is proof that people still care deeply about one another.

4. Active Youths

What inspires me most is seeing young people taking action. Between jobs, school, and family duties, they still choose to volunteer. They’re not just doing it for their CVs; they’re doing it to make real change. And yes, some do highlight these experiences in their resumes — but that just shows how deeply they value the work.

5. Different Parts of Me

Sometimes I wish I had two or three bodies to do it all — but I’ve learned how to manage time and energy. MRF has revealed parts of myself I didn’t know existed. Every project teaches me something new. I surprise myself often.

6. Joy in the Eyes of Others

Some things that don’t mean much to us — an old toy, a second-hand book, a used cloth — could be priceless to someone else. That realization makes me more grateful. And it makes me want to give even more.

With all of this in mind, we’ve decided to launch “This Love for Children — Season 4” for Children’s Day on June 1st, 2025.

This isn’t just another event. It’s a reminder of what the world could look like — a world where people share more, give more, love more, and act more.

Maybe this is how the new world looks like. And maybe, it starts with us.
