WEMADE (CEO: Kwan-ho Park) will host a KRW Stablecoin Technology Seminar on January 29 in Seoul under the theme “Infrastructure Requirements for the Successful Issuance of Stablecoins.”

The seminar is designed to explore how stablecoin infrastructure can be applied in real-world financial environments, including legacy financial institutions, fintech platforms, and payment systems. In addition to technical implementation, the sessions will focus on operational considerations such as regulatory compliance, security architecture, and readiness for evolving regulatory requirements.

The event will open with keynote remarks from Shane Kim, Vice President of WEMADE, and James Ang, Vice President for APAC at Chainalysis. Subsequent sessions will feature speakers from CertiK, Chainalysis, and WEMADE. CertiK and Chainalysis are members of GAKS, the Global Alliance for KRW Stablecoin.

During the seminar, WEMADE will present the technical architecture of StableNet, a blockchain network built specifically for stablecoins that uses KRW-pegged stablecoins as transaction fees. StableNet is designed as a practical financial infrastructure and incorporates proprietary technologies intended to support regulatory compliance while maintaining user privacy.

According to WEMADE, StableNet has been developed to reflect Korea’s regulatory framework and market-specific requirements, positioning it as an infrastructure optimized for the domestic financial environment. The company added that the seminar is intended to provide a forum for industry experts to exchange insights and discuss the long-term development of the KRW stablecoin ecosystem.

Meanwhile, WEMADE plans to officially launch the StableNet testnet on January 30, marking the start of its full-scale efforts to build and expand the KRW stablecoin ecosystem.

㈜위메이드(대표 박관호)가 ‘성공적인 스테이블코인 발행을 위한 인프라의 조건’을 주제로 원화 스테이블코인 테크 세미나를 1월 29일(목) 서울 강남구 스파크플러스 선릉3호점에서 개최한다.

이번 세미나는 스테이블코인 인프라를 실제 레거시 금융과 핀테크, 결제 시스템에 어떻게 안정적으로 적용할 수 있을지에 대한 구체적인 적용 사례를 공유하기 위해 마련됐다. 특히 기술적 구현뿐만 아니라 컴플라이언스, 보안, 규제 대응 등 실무 관점의 깊이 있는 세션이 진행될 예정이다.

행사는 김석환 위메이드 부사장과 제임스 앙(James Ang) 체이널리시스(Chainalysis) 아시아 태평양 부사장의 개회사로 시작된다. 이어 위메이드가 주도하는 원화 스테이블코인 연합체 ‘GAKS(Global Alliance for KRW Stablecoin)’ 연합사인 써틱(CertiK)과 체이널리시스, 위메이드 관계자의 세션이 진행된다.

특히 위메이드는 이번 행사에서 원화 스테이블코인을 수수료(가스비)로 사용하는 스테이블코인 전용 블록체인 ‘스테이블넷(StableNet)’의 기술 구조를 상세히 공개한다. 스테이블넷은 금융 규제를 준수하면서도 프라이버시를 보호하는 독자적인 기술을 탑재해 실질적인 금융 인프라를 지향하는 것이 특징이다.

위메이드 관계자는 “한국의 규제 요건과 특수성을 완벽히 소화하도록 설계된 스테이블넷이 국내 금융 환경에 최적화된 인프라로서 실질적인 금융 혁신을 이끄는 발판이 되길 기대한다”며, “이번 세미나가 업계 전문가들이 모여 원화 스테이블코인의 발전적인 미래를 함께 논의하는 뜻깊은 자리가 되길 바란다”고 밝혔다.

한편, 위메이드는 1월 30일(금) ‘스테이블넷’의 테스트넷을 정식 오픈하고 원화 스테이블코인 생태계 구축을 위한 본격적인 행보에 나설 계획이다.
