A Kaleidoscope of Colour

Life is a kaleidoscope of colour Changing every second of the day There are reds, blues, purple and yellows All take wings and fly away.
As they change and rearrange I see colours in a rainbow The symmetry soothes my senses Then they evaporate and go.
In changes, there are dangers New surprises not seen before They spin and vacillate in colours Like a chameleon, knocks on heaven’s door.
A rosy pink suffuses my garden As dawn probes her fingers through the night And brings alive the dormant colours Into a burst of new bright light.
The orb disappears over the horizon It’s as though you’ve packed up and gone The night soars over fields undiscovered Then wilts like a dying swan.
I watch as the morning changes colour The cloak she wears is diaphanous and sheer Whilst in the sky I see the night die And the dawn reappears crisp, clean and clear.
In your coat of many colours You reappear from behind the sun And hover there amongst the clouds Until your day’s work is done.
