Really Good Week — Day 4
Diary & Italian Futurism inspired artwork

Hi!!
It’s day five, and I’ll be sharing the day four 😵 What a shame!
Hi, again all! Today, I’m trying to create and type these sentences a lightning speed as I have to write this, go and do some sports, and prepare for the night, and meet with my sister, finally, have fun without losing yourself as tomorrow I got a lot of shit to do in terms of courses I took.
What are those? → I have to create the scenario for my story in the visual narrative course. Then, for the multimedia design course, I need to develop a design idea consisting of digital and physical design. I have a digital interactive visual display design in my head, which will be used in a museum, don’t know the target user group, but that’s the product in my head. Why museum? → In this class, we handled almost all topics around the devices/gadgets used in museums. Therefore, why not make it for the museum.
As I mentioned in yesterday’s article, on Thursday, I was with my friends dealing with design problems regarding the collaborative design course; what a coincidence, they were designing interactive products too. Don’t know if it is a coincidence or not. Maybe I’m being pulled to that side of the design and attracted to the beauty of combining physical and digital, mixing them a bit, and bending the boundaries. For tomorrow, also, I have to conduct some user research. Need to visit some e-scooter parking environments, wait for potential customers, and observe them, ask questions, conduct quick and short interviews, take photos.
Tomorrow looks like a busy day. And, you know. I had to deal with all the things I said, yes, this weekend. I can’t leave any work to following weekdays, as I have something to commit myself into deeply❤️🔥 Have to complete e — eeeeee — everything this weekend, and I’m gonna 😈
Uhhh, I was gonna continue with the poster design but remembered something I would like to say and deleted the whole intro sentence.
Right now, as background music, I’m listening to a set, and it’s fucking INC-RE-DIB-LE! It might be the best set I have been listening to recently. Hardly containing myself not to stand up and start jumping. Thank you☻
You know I have to complete this task and share my process with you! Also, I’ll have all the time in the world next week to go mad — to jump to many cute and cheerful songs!
That’s the set → https://soundcloud.com/markusglanz/glanzmix-2?si=746580a7344d4e44964476a9e1de6973&utm_source=clipboard&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=social_sharing
If you love funk, can’t miss that one! But believe me, don’t know if the set gets more hugging as it continues, how I’ll be able to type while swinging & shaking 🤡 — Oh shit! By the 22nd minute, it gets ⚰️
Let’s move to the design part of the article!

italian futurism??? 👀
Yesterday, one of my friends told me about “Italian futurism.” After that, I wasn’t in the mood to work or study — studied a little for the multimedia course, researched artifical intelligence tools to create presentations, found it, gathered content, prepared a moodboard and stuff — and got my mac while waiting for my tattoo artist, went towards the middle of the architecture faculty, immediately sat down where the connection between nature and me was separated by only a thin glass of windows and started researching 🇮🇹
My friend said that it would interest me and that’s precisely what happened. Movement, sliced frames???, shapes, and colors that I did not understand☻ definitely caught my attention. I even found a statue, and I think it’s the first time I’ve come across one that reflects speed and dynamism so much ⚡ Let me add its image below.

be careful! at any moment, he can throw the spear 😱
Then I continued to do some more research and thought, somewhere in the middle of this research, that I might use this movement for day four — and of course, I decided to do so.
The first thing I did was to go to chatgpt 🤖 Of course, while I haven’t decided yet, I had scrolled a lot on Pinterest and had a little idea about the subject. So maybe I’d call chatgpt my “second thing,” but whatever. Let’s move on.

first time using the pinterest efficiently 👌
I wanted her to help me a little bit and asked the questions that I put the screenshots of below. I asked her to guide me, in other words, to direct me. Oh, it’s terrible when you say it like that, but anyway, let’s keep going. I tried to get some help and inspiration from her. She wrote me many sweet things, like “Don’t set limits, be fearless, don’t be afraid to experiment, etc.”. I really like Chatgpt. Sadly, she’s not human, or people “order” when asking her rather than being nice. I don’t approve of this at all 😢

chaatgpt being my bff 😍
After getting the colors and artists’ names from Chatgpt, I returned to Pinterest and searched for artist names to understand who they were and what they were doing. Meanwhile, I was saving the pins b — eeeeee — ecause of the moodboard!
Yes! Before I started this work, I wanted to prepare a moodboard. Because it is beautiful and an action that will help me prepare for my multimedia course.
See the moodboard below ↓

Moodboard, done🤪
By the way, I will write this right away 📝 When I started the design, I looked at the empty frame, which looked at me. My hand went to the “T” key often, and I didn’t know what to do without text. In fact, one of the first things I did was to think about which font was suitable for futurism, and I remember surfing the internet for 2 minutes. Addiction to typography is bad for your health 🚫
Fortunately, I got over that quickly and started trying to do something. And my main focus is there’s shading in the spheres created with noise; you see them? Yes, I was trying to create them because I came across them in so many work that goes under the name of many Italian futurism movements. That’s why I thought about creating such an effect, watched tutorials on youtube, and found it.
Then I used the “noise” plugin in Figma and ta-da! Such things came up. In fact, I realized that I could make more angular shadings on the spheres, and I said, “Why not” 😛

don’t mind the duotones — it’s to change the color of the images 👅
Of course, I don’t know why I chose a sphere. I’ve read so much about speed, movement, dynamism, etc. Then you come and determine a sphere ef☻! Even chatgpt told you. But anyway, keep going.
Hmm, I experimented with shapes; I created transparent spheres. I used colors. I took the pattern for the background image and played it in the liquify tool. Then I found the blue flower image on the Reddit mid-journey subreddit. Masked it too 👹

look at the “fill” section 🚨
The background was very clear and clean. I added some texture to it. The three textures on the right. I added them, and the design is done.

textures 🦔
I can’t talk much about the pains this time because I didn’t write while doing it 🤡 But, no worries. Look at the work, and enjoy!
Lastly, the inital look of the design ↓

☻
Take care & thank you! 😘
