Why 10G Compact HSB Cameras Are Shaping the Next Wave of Embedded Vision
In edge AI and robotics, bandwidth and latency are just as critical as resolution. That’s why the recent discussions around 10G Compact Holoscan Sensor Bridge (HSB) camera solutions for NVIDIA Jetson Thor and Orin platforms have caught attention.
Unlike traditional interfaces like CSI or USB, these HSB cameras use 10G Ethernet to move large image data streams quickly and over long distances — without bottlenecks. Inside, a Lattice FPGA combined with TintE ISP takes care of image preprocessing (demosaicing, color correction, denoising), leaving the Jetson’s GPU free for neural inference and real-time analytics.
What makes this design notable is how it brings Holoscan SDK compatibility, 10G bandwidth, and compact form factor together — bridging the gap between prototype and production.
It’s fascinating to see how embedded vision is evolving to meet the processing power of NVIDIA’s Jetson Thor and Orin.
