The thought leader’s toilet

I made my own LinkedIn Newspaper for fun ;)

I made my own LinkedIn Newspaper for fun ;)

Behind closed doors, the morning ritual begins. Before the world wakes up, the creator must purge. They have spent days overeating information, snacking on headlines, and swallowing up opinions. They must reject the waste. And so, in a private moment of strain, the insight is formed. And by 8:05 AM, it’s released- a perfectly formatted, easy-to-read, slick LinkedIn post, with little mental and physical strain. Ready to receive likes and comments, and the most valuable of all engagements.

Everyone is bloated with information, and there’s nothing wrong with that. But the problem is how we release it. Facing a blank page builds an intense, anxious pressure in your chest. So, we use AI like a quick stop at the toilet, relieving the tension instantly. The machine makes the thoughts slip right through, and you walk away feeling empty and relieved. I know that sounds gross, but that’s the absurdity of this whole AI-generated content. And the reason I’m writing it with this grotesque language is that I feel it needs to be seen with that hilarity. Now there’s a lot of good content on LinkedIn, but there’s a whole lot filled with this nonsense, and I have not read anything with this intensity, trying to subdue it with all their might.

But I’m writing this because im addicted to it too, the “read more” baits. You never know, it could be an amazing piece, but it also could be the AI slop. It’s the new norm, and it exists with a name-

I’m sure you are aware of those annoying kinds of posts that have recently taken over LinkedIn. The one with small statements, negative space, a serious but not so serious insight on something that sounds so philosophical that it might make you worried about things like not waving back at your boss and getting fired for it. Yes, you might be aware of the term; it is called ”broetry”, and this term was coined by Bloomberg writer Lorcan Roche Kelly.

People are literally kneeling before these kinds of shallow posts. A few years ago, formatting text this way would have been ridiculed as a lack of skill. But now it’s trending and the app is rewarding it with impressions and engagements, signalling a hundred others to follow and fall in the same line.

But what annoys me most is the voluntary degradation. They know the platform rewards buffoonery, so instead of fighting for better standards, they lean into the decay. They optimize for performance rather than intellect, hitting the reader straight with formatted content. This isn’t about mocking people’s genuine opinions or lived experiences. It’s about a tragedy of quality. We are wasting immense creative effort trying to sound “more human”, yet we are doing it by adopting a rigid template. We are tailoring our natural voices to feed an algorithm. And the irony? That machine doesn’t have a gut. It just endlessly consumes whatever we deposit into it.

It’s a race to the bottom. We are stuck over-processing our thoughts because we are too insecure to expose the raw, unedited chaos of our minds.

AI just feeds on whatever we dump into it, and lately, it’s been feeding on what you are flushing down the toilet, which could have been some crazy, brilliant idea right there. Who knows? It’s your business. But the point is, you don’t care and let AI generalize it, just so you don’t have to face the blank. Well, it’s gross again, I know. But I’m unhinged. And unbothered.
