You Know How It Ends
Do you know the feeling when you want to hold on to something, but you know it’s better to let go?
Everything feels right, and the puzzle pieces fit perfectly into place. But something still feels off, like the view isn’t clear and your vision starts to blur.

Maybe it’s like enjoying PB&Js, but knowing you’re allergic to peanuts. Or loving the way the rain touches your skin, even though you know you’ll catch a cold afterward.
You know how it ends. You just want to believe this time will be different.
But the feeling still lingers, and you know you’ll forever be a yearner — just not for the right things or the right people.
There’s a sense of familiarity when you’re around, but you know it’s not for the right reasons. At the end of the day, you don’t want to hurt people who don’t deserve to be hurt.
But you did anyway.
Loving you comes with its own risks. They say, “Hurt people hurt people.” And I’m not only hurt — I’m in agony. What more could I have given you when my own mind was already fighting its own battles?
If you ever want to talk about what happened, I’ll be here, and I can handle it. But I don’t think it’s the right decision to go back to something that once felt like home when that home no longer exists.
Maybe it’s like a mirage in the middle of the desert. You already have everything, yet you still feel there’s a void — one or two things your significant other can’t offer — and you find yourself crawling back to what once felt comfortable.
But deep down, you know it isn’t right.
