GenosDB is a name with meaning intrinsically linked to the nature of graphs, providing clear identity, conceptual relevance, and competitive advantage in describing the fundamentals of a distributed database.

The term genos originates from the Greek word γένος, meaning: origin, lineage, class, type, or family. This makes it conceptually appropriate for a graph-based database, as it reflects hierarchical structures and relationships between nodes.

Key reasons that led me to name my distributed database project “GenosDB”:
