It hasn’t been easy, but I know my hard work and patience will pave the way forward. Teaching is in my nature, yet when another teacher tried to guide me toward something I didn’t believe in, I chose to decline. The result was that both teacher and student suffered. As a student, I let go of that guidance and resolved to carve my own path — finding balance and direction through these spaces.

I often notice that people around me get unsettled by my nature. It’s not because I do anything wrong, but because they struggle to accept someone who doesn’t conform to the mainstream. My presence stirs something within them that they dislike, as they resist change yet cannot tolerate seeing someone younger with sharper intellect. They magnify my smallest mistakes just to find a reason to place themselves above me. The truth is, I was doing things right — but the burden of being a woman who is more intellectual, and not one who simply yields to their pride, weighs heavily. Especially in the patriarchal mindset of many North Indian men, my strength is something they simply cannot bear.

This is impacting my confidence, as stillness which prevailed in me has been shaken and destroyed completely by another woman almost 40 years above my age. I have learnt no- body can stand me. But I need toe arn my living. I cannot be with my father always. So decided bold move: corporate and teaching through Udemy lessons. That way my hunger to teach will be satisfied and I’ll stand firm on ground for earning front.
