Johnny was always different.

He never looked like anyone he encountered. There was an array of light around him. No matter the time of day, the light would be bright, almost blinding to the rest of the world. This made Johnny smile. He always wore that smile on his face. Even on days that were not so good, Johnny fought his battles, and he did it with a smile on his face. And, the world hated it.

Everyone thought Johnny was annoying. The rest of the world frowned when he entered the room. Their already somber faces would make any bright room dark. Their melancholy faces would take the fizz out of a can of soda. It would just be flat. Johnny would walk into a room and see everyone change. But, this seemed to make him smile more.

Johnny never wondered why people did not care for him. He just kept on smiling and enjoying each day. Time never passed by because he saw the beauty in everything. The sun would shine brighter on Johnny.

And he did it with a smile!
