Top 5 Duelists Of South Asia 2021

Valorant is the fastest growing game in India, Every match of a tier -1 tournament has more than 3000 live viewers which is 5x more than the peek of ESL CSGO major tournament. VCC was the first official tournament in 2021 conducted by Riot Games in partnership with Nodwin Gaming to give a chance to the best team in South Asia to compete against the top teams in SEA. VCC Finals was played between Global Esports and Velocity Gaming which crossed more than 50,000 live viewers milestone.

Valorant has 4 main roles in it- Duelist, Initiator, Sentinal, and Controller.

In this blog, I am going to talk about the Top 5 Dualists from South Asia.

After looking through all the best duelists in SA and comparing all the statistics (ACS, K.D, ADR, etc.) and the results against the SEA teams,

THE TOP FIVE DUELISTS OF 2021 SOUTH ASIA ARE-

1. Skrossi (Ganesh Gangadhar) player of Global Esports

(Brief intro) Skrossi is not only the best player in South Asia but one of the finest operator players in the whole world.

2. DeathMaker (Debanjan Das) player for Velocity Gaming

3. Shooter (Mustafa Kamal) player of Team Exploit

(Brief intro) Shooter proved himself this year that he is one of the best players in South Asia by beating Velocity Gaming in the Upper Group Stage Final Bracket of VCC after dropping 47 kills against them, Hope to see him more in 2022.

4. Rawfiul (Akram Virani) Player of Enigma Gaming

(Brief intro) He was not the main duelist for Enigma in the initial stages but after the departure of Ghost, he was UNSTOPPABLE! Give him an operator or a vandal and he will make sure he gets the round for his team.

5. MW1 (Mohit Wakle)

(Brief Intro) MW1 was kind of a messiah for Velocity Gaming as they were going through a very rough patch before he joined Velocity. MW1 is an animal with Vandal, His pure raw aim made him one of the aimers in South Asia.

Now if we compare the stats of these 5 players on the basis of

1. Average Combat Score - Probably the most important stat to give us the basic idea of how good of a duelist a player is-

DM - 279.47 ACS

Rawfiul - 272 ACS

Skrossi - 270 ACS

Shooter - 267.3 ACS

MW1 - 258.8 ACS

{Note that I have only accounted for those matches in which the player has played a duelist.}

DM is with the highest ACS at the end of this year which is no surprise. This Year when he was in Godlike he was more of a Reyna player which suited him more than Jett as he was more comfortable in a rifle than in the sniper role. But after joining VLT priorities were changed and He was compelled to main -JETT and told to hold on-site with an Operator. Jett doesn't have the best utilities for a player like DM who is more reliant on a Vandal than on an Operater still he managed to get the best out of that agent.

2. K:D- Kills per Death is personally my favorite state to look at as it tells how much a player is lethal against the Enemy team.

Skrossi - 1.24

Shooter-1.22

Rawfuil - 1.2

DM - 1.15

MW1 - 1.05

Skrossi with most matches being played and with the highest K.D score at the end of the year 2021 tells us something that he is the player to be afraid of when you are against him doesn't matter if you're Gambit or Sentinals, against this guy any team can lose. Skrossi will probably give you goosebumps with operator shorts and Jett knives. Hope to see him compete against top teams on the International stage.

Thats it for this blog I guess, I would have compared their performance against SEA teams also but not enough results and stats are their to compare them, so maybe I will update this blog (or make a new one) after enough matches.
