I asked the Lord to save me and to give me clear signs if you were never meant to stay in my life. I never expected that I would be the one to quietly initiate cutting you off. The last time we talked was online — when I thanked you for being considerate.

I was wrong.

Because of you and your numbness, chaos filled my home where peace was supposed to dwell. I can’t put all the blame on you, because I admit I have my own faults too. Yet, I can’t help but think that your wrongs outweighed mine. Maybe you were a blessing in disguise because you made me more open — but at what cost?

Because of you, I never expected my loved ones to act and look at me differently. I used to admire you and cherish the moments we shared, but those memories have turned into some of the most painful and disgusting experiences of my life — because I shared them with you.

Yes, you’re a soft-spoken and kind person, but why did you have to be so numb to my feelings? I wish you knew how much pain you caused me — an excruciating kind of pain. It’s sad because I truly thought our friendship would last. But once again, my instincts proved me right — that in the end, it’s still me who stands by my side.
