**Dennis Martire**’s career in labor advocacy began with a government degree from West Virginia Wesleyan College in 1986. Since joining the Laborers’ International Union of North America (LIUNA) in 1990, he has risen to become vice president and regional manager of the Mid-Atlantic region, a role he has held since 2002.

One of Martire’s most impactful achievements was leading the formation of LIUNA Local 11 during the Route 495 Hot Lanes Project in Virginia. By empowering workers to form a union, he secured a historic victory, with over 200 laborers joining the new chapter.
